Silver Swan Group Limited (SWN) holds ~700km² under tenure over 5 project areas in the Meekatharra area of the Murchison District, Western Australia. The Company is focused on exploring for gold (Au), volcanogenic massive sulphides (Cu-Zn-Ag-Au) and syn-tectonic copper-gold (Cu-Au).
The company's current emphasis is on high-grade gold mineralisation at Stakewell, volcanogenic massive sulphide (Cu-Zn) mineralisation at Flinders, Murchison Wonder and Austin in the northern Quinns area and copper-gold mineralisation at Yagahong.
Historically, the Murchison district has been a major gold producing province, with gold production on the order of 18 million ounces. The major current and past gold producing centres in the region include Mt Magnet, Cue, Big Bell, Reedy, Paddy's Flat, Yaloginda and Gabanintha.
The region hosts a diversity of deposit styles of operating mine and advanced projects; these include Golden Grove (base metals), Mt Gibson, Jack Hills, Weld Range and Mt Karara (iron ore); Windimurra, Barambie (vanadium-titanium) and Gabanintha (Au-Cu) . Base metal production is principally from the Golden Grove VMS deposit.
Prior to Silver Swan Group's involvement, the company's current tenement holdings had seen little or no exploration for over 20 years.
